eComposer – Main Screen

From eComposer’s main screen you can select an instrument, adjust the tempo and modify the melody’s overall tune, using the keyboard. Rounding out the screen there is a musical player with the visual information of your settings and the controls for saving your melody and load your own presets.

When the app starts, eComposer composes a melody adjusted to the default values. Without leaving the screen, experiment with their controls. If you decide to compose a new melody, push Settings button, change the parameters as you like and push the Create button, that brings you back to the Main screen with a new melody created.

Instruments

You choose from 128 high quality Midi instruments. With left button you select between one of the 17 availables instruments families. With right button you select one of the 8 instruments associated with that instruments family.

Random instruments family works differently from the other. It has only two options: Instrument mode, which selects randomly one of the 128 available instruments, and Crazy mode, where instrument continually changes during the melody.

With the keyboard you can change the overall tune of your melody, raising or lowering the octave.

Slide your finger in the highlighted area to the right (higher tune) or to the left (lower tune) or click in the ends of the keyboard to raise or lower the tune.

Some instruments, due to their nature, may stop sounding in the highest or lowest zones.

Near to the elapsed and total time you can find the Settings button. After pressing, the Settings screen is opened so you can model your melody.

Don’t forget that once you press the Settings button, the melody you were working with is replaced by a new one, even if you have not changed any settings. If you want to keep an exact copy of the previous melody, save it first in Midi File format.

Information

All the values in the Settings screen appears below the player, just for information.

The Midi File format saves an exact copy of your melody keeping the tempo and instrument information. A Midi File can be played on many digital players, sequencers, etc.

Preset format stores all the configuration you have in that time, tempo, instrument parameters and settings screen, which does not mean that different melodies created with the same preset, will be the same melody. eComposer, due to their random character, create another different tune, but adjusted to the same parameters.

To keep an exact copy of your melody that can be reproduced later, use the Midi file format. Remember that every time you open a preset or enter the Settings screen, eComposer creates a new melody replacing the one you were working with.

Saved midi files saved can be found in your device memory in the path:
Android/data/com.movaudio.ecomposer/files/
in the Pro version or in:
Android/data/com.movaudio.ecomposerlite/files/
in the lite version.

Presets control allows you to select your preset configurations saved on the memory card.
